The Roule turtleneck jumper by Saint James is based on the classic French nautical garments of old. The jumper is woven to a minimalist design. A plain dark navy in a 1x1 rib knit weave throughout the body. The collar is woven to a 2x2 knit. The turtleneck jumper is long in length and slim along the body, and the turtleneck rolls back on itself two or three times. If you know the Cancale or the Binic sweaters then you will be familiar with the weave. But you would be forgiven for thinking that this jumper feels finer. It is surprisingly heavy to hold, as is most St James knitwear. It is an unassuming jumper, but it gives a feeling of security and reassurance. Almost military in its stature. And it's very warm. A must for this Winter.

Please note the 3XL measurment lying flat unstretched is pit to pit 22", base of the roll neck to bottom 28", armpit to cuff end un-stretched 22 1/2".

Saint James Clothing was born in 1889 in the town of its namesake, located a few miles from the sea, and close to Mont Saint-Michel in Southern Normandy. The Saint James story began when the Legallais family started to spin and dye the local wool and sell the skeins and wool balls to the shops of Brittany and Normandy, later spinning the wool into shirts for the fishermen. Leon Legallais, the then mayor or Saint-James transformed this workshop into a large industry and in 1929 the company went public.
